I have gone picture crazy.

When I had some time on Tuesday (God that feels like it was so long ago), I ended up taking even more pictures. I might also have just run out of words this week. Two thousand words for my latest chapter in my online serial seems to have sucked sentences out of my brain.

Lucky Number Seven .. Just in Time for Halloween.

Hurricane Sandy obviously gave me a lot of fodder for writing. Writing formed the crux of how I got through this with the sanity I still possess. For those who sent me well wishes and good energy, thanks. You know who you all are.

I’ve got a new chapter to the ‘Unbreakable’ serial on Jukepopserials.com.  My chapters have no titles, alas. I’m just bad at those.

Halloween is here and I have no plans for it, really. I just got off a seven hour shift at my local B & N. I’m tired, but I’ve got a writing contest to enter and a book to continue editing.  I wish you all a ghoulish Halloween. If you want scary, come check out ‘Unbreakable.’

On a side note that is far more boring and technical, I have to wonder how many users know to scroll down after each chapter to give it a vote. Automatic voting apparently doesn’t work, or I don’t understand what the heck it means. For those who want to check out the serial for the first time, remember to create an account to cast your vote for any chapter you read and like. You’ll have to scroll down a little further once you’ve read said chapter in order to find the option to vote. The option can be found in a link with grey letters. I know some were having trouble getting their votes registered, and a recent reader informed me that directions for voting are not incredibly obvious. Since I KNOW my writing kicks ass, I KNOW I’ll be getting more votes, right?

At any rate, check it out, cast a vote, or even send a comment to twitter or Facebook. There are buttons somewhere on the page that allow you to contact me directly that way. If you have comments, questions, unwanted pregnancies … wait, scratch that last one, then drop me a line. I’ll respond as soon as I can.  Think the story needs to take on a new direction? Something New to Ponder…

I don’t always understand how life works.

The normal thing that we are taught is that we work hard, we practice what it is we love to do, and eventually, people will take notice.

That doesn’t always mean we’re prepared when we get our first bite of success, even if that’s all it really is;  a taste of what may come.

I’m happy now, don’t get me wrong.  But I also know one thing.  There is plenty still left to do.

So I’ll raise a glass of wine tonight and cheer to new beginnings.  I’ll also endeavor to continue my hard work and to improve my craft.  That’s all I can really ask of myself both as a writer and as a human being.
